What is Copyright and how does it work?

Many objects have been protected by Copyright Law, including original literature, books, computer programmes, published editions, websites, sound recordings, cinematography films, radio and television broadcasts, aesthetic work, such as paintings and pictures, musical works, and more. If you want to earn financial benefits and retain ownership of your own/or another's work that you've purchased through a contract, you must first obtain copyright registration by meeting the following requirements:

Original work that has not been copied or stolen from anyone is awarded copyright protection.

As the owner, you will retain the right to use your work as you see fit and to allow others to do so at your discretion. If your copyright-protected work is used without your permission, you can file a legal charge against the offender, and if proven, it will be handled as a criminal offence.

Even after the owner's death, copyright protection can be extended.

Copyright Registration's Advantages

It's a type of international legal protection offered to the work's original owner. Without the owner's permission, no sections of a copyright-protected work can be copied, reproduced, or taken anywhere in the world.

A copyrighted work is a type of intangible asset that falls under the umbrella of Intellectual Property. Its rights can only be sold, distributed, commercially contracted, adapted, and franchised through legal channels.

Copyright-protected material is officially documented as being available for public exhibition in cases where the proprietor is well-known globally and can develop a market identity. Copyright-protected material can be found all throughout the world. Builds a positive image of your products in the minds of customers and aids in the marketing of your work.

Wherever possible, copyrighted work is permitted for public performance with proper authorization.

Copyright Registration Procedures

STEP–1: Copyright Application

We'll prepare your Copyright Application in the proper Form IV format, together with any other documents you'll need to send to the Registrar's Office. For several works, we'll create distinct applications based on your rules and directions, as well as any papers you give. Each application must be signed by both the applicant and our legal agent (who has been approved by you) who is working on your behalf to process your application. We'll keep you updated on the progress.

STEP–2) Dairy Number Issuance

Within a 30-day period, you will obtain your Dairy Number from the Registrar's Office.

VERIFICATION (STEP–3)

It will take 30 days for your application to be confirmed if there are any objections from other parties. If an objection is raised, the examiner will sort it out legally based on the justifications of both sides. Otherwise, if no objections are raised, a Scrutinizer will thoroughly review your application for any errors or discrepancies before approving it for Copyright. As a result, the Registrar will record an entry of your work in the Register of Copyright as proof of registration.

Bravo!!

The Copyright Registration procedure has now been completed.
